Stephen’s Thoughts…

Hi, I’m Stephen Rees-Carter!

Thanks for visiting my little corner of the internet. If you already know me, you should find what you’re looking for in the menu at the top. However, if you’d like to know more, please indulge me a little longer as I tell you about myself.

I’m a Developer, Security Analyst, International Speaker, and part-time Blogger, based in Brisbane, Australia. I spend a fair amount of my time working for Defiant / Wordfence, and the rest of it on WithExtraVeg with my wife. I used to work on other side projects, but as a parent to two very energetic young boys, I have no spare time left! This is why I blog very infrequently, although one day I will get back to it.

I’ve spoken at conferences in Australia and New Zealand, most recently at WordCamps in Brisbane and Port Macquarie, and linux.conf.au in Christchurch, NZ. Additionally, I’m known in the Australian WordPress community for teaching lock picking and hacking, which is a lot of fun.

You’ll find me online under the alias valorin in various places, including Twitter, GitHub, and Keybase.
